Our New Project: 
We have a new Project that is called Re-Educate 100 Teen Mothers in South Sierra Leone. The project can start accepting donations when it goes live on Monday,June 11, 2018 at 09:00 AM EDT. 

Summary
This project will not only help support 100 victims of teenage pregnancy who have dropped out of school to go back to school, but also sensitize 500 school going girls in five communities in Kenema and Bo districts about the dangers of teenage pregnancy. It would Provide three-year scholarships and school materials for 100 teenage pregnancy victims in Bo and Kenema districts and support 500 girls in five schools in Bo and Kenema districts to prevent them from becoming victims themselves.

Challenge

There are about 5000 and more school going girls living in Kenema, and Bo Districts, Southern Sierra Leone, who are exposed to the risk of teenage pregnancy. Poverty in both districts is widespread, and creates conditions that lead teenage girls into sexual relationships with men for the sake of money and other materials things. Due to their low levels of awareness, they mostly have unprotected sex and therefore can easily become pregnant and subsequently drop out of school for lack of support

Solution

This project will not only help support 100 victims of teenage pregnancy who have dropped out of school to go back to school, but also sensitize 500 school going girls in five communities in Kenema and Bo districts, about the dangers of teenage pregnancy: Specific objectives 1.Provide three-year scholarships and school materials for 100 teenage pregnancy victims 2. Support 500 girls in five schools in Bo and Kenema districts to prevent them from dropping out of school

Long-Term Impact
Providing New Opportunities (PNO), wants to bring 100 teenage pregnancy victims in Bo and Kenema back to school and call 500 teenage girls in five schools within the two districts to awareness about their values in order to protect those who have not been affected. The victims will be helped to reveal their importance in society and aided to bring out their potentials in order to become women of substance in the near future.
